Many hours spent in a blind along the shores of Lake St. Louis paid off one overcast spring afternoon. An everyday species captured in a fleetingly rare pose. The Great Blue Heron spends it's days catching fish in this manner, but few images capture the drama in the eyes of both the hunter and prey. Great as a magazine cover or as a print of any size!
